ΝΑ ΜΙΑ ΚΑΛΗ ΣΕΙΡΑ ΦΑΝΤΑΣΤΙΚΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΟΜΟΥ "THE RAY BRADBURY THEATER"
Και εκεί που ψαχούλευα στο youtube για να βρω κάνα audiobook ή κάνα radio drama να ακούσω, μήπως συγκεντρωθώ και ζωγραφίσω, πέφτω πάνω στο Bradbury 13. Μια ραδιοφωνική σειρά δεκατριών επεισοδίων από ιστορίες φαντασίας και τρόμου του Ray Bradbury. Έλα μου όμως που πριν το καταλάβω είχα ακούσει και τα δεκατρία επεισόδια και ήθελα κι άλλο...
Ευτυχώς μετά από μερικές μέρες ανακάλυψα πως υπάρχει και η τηλεοπτική σειρά The Ray Bradbury Theater. Aποτελούμενη από 6 σεζόν και συνολικά 65 επεισόδια που προβλήθηκαν από το 1985 έως το 1992. Κάποια από τα επεισόδια της σειράς ήταν βασισμένα σε ιστορίες που είχε γράψει ο Ray Bradbury τα οποία είχαν μεταφερθεί και στη ραδιοφωνική σειρά Bradbury 13 και κάποια τα είχε γράψει αποκλειστικά για την τηλεοπτική σειρά The Ray Bradbury Theater. Σας συνιστώ να δείτε τα επεισόδια αλλά να ακούσετε και την ραδιοφωνική σειρά. Είναι εξίσου καλά και τα δύο, με μικρή διαφορά να παίρνει την πρωτιά το Bradbury 13, γιατί όταν μετέφεραν τις ιστορίες από το ραδιόφωνο στην τηλεόραση υπήρχαν κάποιες ανακρίβειες και ελλείψεις λόγο του ότι δεν μπορείς να τα χωρέσεις όλα σε ένα μισάωρο επεισόδιο.

Eerie Indiana
Eerie Indiana is a 90's science fiction/horror TV series one of my favorite as a kid. The series revolves around Marshall Teller, a teenager whose family moves to the desolate town of Eerie, Indiana, population of 16,661. While moving into his new home, he meets Simon Holmes, one of the few normal people in Eerie. Together, they are faced with bizarre scenarios, which include discovering a sinister group of intelligent dogs that are planning on taking over the world, and meeting a tornado hunter who is reminiscent of Captain Ahab. They also confront numerous urban legends such as Bigfoot and a still-living Elvis Presley. Although the show was host to a plethora of jokes, it also featured a serious XIFiles-like tone. After thirteen episodes, one of which did not air during the network run, the series was retooled with Jason Marsden'sJ"Dash X" added to the cast and Archie Hahn's Mr. Radford is revealed to be an imposter, with John Astin revealed to be the "actual" Mr. Radford. The final produced episode was a tongue-in-cheek, fourth wall breaking sequence of events depicting Dash X's attempts to take over as star of the show.
Martha Splatterhead's Maddest Stories Ever Told (Monster Comics 1992)- Wow!!! Who would have guessed that the "splatter rock" band The Accused had a comic about their favorite character- Martha Splatterhead?!!!! This underground publication features artwork by: XNO, Mary Woodring, R.K. Sloane, Box X, Dennis Worden, some dude with a weird pyramid symbol for a name, Michael Dowers, Jeff Gaither, Stevo Winters, Jim Blanchard, Mary Fleener and Peter Bagge!! The comic also includes a flexi-disc record with a single of "Straight Razor (Going for the Throat)"!!!! R.K. Sloane and Jeff Gaither have the greatest quantity of art in the comic which is good since Uncle Jack considers them to be the best artists of the bunch!!! The two did the art for a two page spread of Accused logo concepts which is featured in the book, as well as a radical two page spread of "Martha's House of Horrors" (see below)- awesome and strange, psychedelic-gore artwork!!!!! Martha's House of Horrors is the only really cool piece of work in this comic!! Most of the stories (all of which are about Martha) are pretty dumb and fail to be funny like they are supposed to be!!! Decent underground art from underground artists, just dumb stories! Once again, why is it so hard for comic artists to write good stories?!!! If you are going to spend your time drawing a comic shouldn't it be non-dumb?!! A short interview with the band is in the comic! Apparently it took 3 years for this comic to materialize after the members of The Accused came up with the idea!!! Uncle Jack has not researched whether any more Martha Splatterhead comics were made, however, considering that it took 3 years for the first issue to come out and the band only released one more album after the comic's release, it is doubtful they they were together for long enough for another comic to be made!!!!! An interesting relic for fans of The Accused, too bad the stories just aren't good!!
